At Vita, we build web apps that grow with your business, clean, fast, and built with care. We're a Ruby on Rails development company based in Sydney, working globally with teams who need reliable code, honest advice, and a partner who gets it.
The name Vita isn't just a name, it's personal. It was inspired by our founder's daughter, a daily reminder of why we do what we do. Every product we build is treated with the same thought and intention you'd give to something that really matters. Because it does.
Vita was founded by Sebastian, a developer originally from San Juan, Argentina. Back in 2016, he packed his bags and moved to Australia, chasing a new experience, and a bigger dream. Along the way, he did it all: demolition, construction, removalist jobs, farm work (yes, even picking nails). But that fire to land a developer role in Australia never went out.
He eventually landed his first IT job in Melbourne as a Template Developer, and things started to click. Step by step, he moved up, learned more, and got better. In 2021, he landed his first full Ruby on Rails developer role at VicRoads, working remotely and building solid tools at scale.
Now living in Sydney, Sebastian runs Vita with that same mindset, work hard, stay curious, build things that last. This isn't a big agency. There are no gatekeepers or project managers in the way. When you work with Vita, you work directly with someone who's writing the code and genuinely cares about what you're building.
We specialize in custom Ruby on Rails applications, from MVPs and internal tools to full-scale platforms. We focus on clean, maintainable code and frontend experiences that feel just right. No jargon, no shortcuts, just thoughtful development that fits your needs.
At Vita, we're like a chameleon, we adapt to your project, your team, and your goals. Whether you're starting from scratch or improving what you've already got, we'll meet you where you are.
We're big on communication, real collaboration, and building things that are useful, not just "done."
Let's build something that actually works, and feels good to use. Together.
